Themes and Styles

You can apply a different theme to a quotation page. Indeed, each page can have it's own theme, or a given product can be made available on more than one page with different themes applied to each.

You need to be logged in as an administrator in order to do this.

  1. From the Admin portal (link on the top right of the page), open the "Portal Objects" tab.
  2. In the list of portals, click the "quote" link.
  3. Select the "Theme" link next to the page that you want set the theme for.
  4. Use the drop down list on the Theme line to select the theme you want then clink "Update"

That's it. If you go back to the products page (e.g. http://ail-ltd.co.uk:8080/portal/portal/quote/MyLifePlusPage) you will immediately see the new theme is being used.

OpenQuote comes with a number of predefined themes (which it inherits from the JBoss Portal project). You can also of course define your own theme. This topic is covered extensively on the JBoss web site. Take a look at the Themes section in the JBoss manual. It describes what themes are and how to define one. Also, The Theme Style Guide gets right down into the technical detail describing what goes where in terms of CSS etc.
