Following up-times > 1 day of continuous product development work I'm getting JVM failures as a result of lack of permgen space.
Rather than simply increase PermGen, it's be worth reviewing the notes here: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Repository_Hardware. Our current setting is on the high side already.

Increase permgen space setting on JVM
